FOSS devices in the Karmic Castanyada (Lleida Ubunty Install party)

Tuxbrain was invited,  by  la comunidad de Ubuntaires to the Karmik chestnuts party(castanyada Karmika) done in   IES Torre Vicens on 7th November, there we do a speach about FOSS friendly devices  and we enjoy a a lot the meeting with good friends, also was the first tests on "real world" of our devices , especial mention to our  Sharp Netwalker  the presentation was done with and from it :)

Next a photopost of how the meeting was lived by us.

10:00 AM After a "few turn arrounds" thanks to Via Michelin maps indication, finally we arrive at place

There we found  Alex Muntada, a good friend of  this house,,  making a fire to cook the chestnuts demonstrating tht the surname of the meeting (Karmic Castanyada) not was only a nonsense surname.

I enjoy the speach a lot, we let attendants play with the devices meanwhile I was talking about characteristics, achivement , future plans, degrees of freedom, and at time people ask and express their opinions, a very nice moment .


You can't leave a Castanyada without eating the  chessnuts and deliciouse panellets


There was time to play and fun :) , Urban Terror and  World of Goo(what an addictive game!) where the main atraction in the playroom. We can see Victor (avobe) ,a Jaume y Joan,  (below left to right). doing some rounds ons al Urban terror,  Victor was masacrated ... various times.... by this pair of little angels

Alex showing us a little jewel made game , Frivial is a question/anwers Free Source writed in phython , with a very similar look to TV shows , questions can be Audio/Visual speakers are needed a projector was handy and due we have all them we do some rounds and laughts with it. Questions as you can imagine are very FOSS geek/nerd oriented , it has category like Ubuntu, Creative Commons, Comic&Anime, ...the right place to play it :)
