Seems that after more than three years of activity as distributors, seems time has come to say good bye... as distributors :), Tuxbrain abandons the path of the shopkeeper to spend all the resources on project development. Summarizing we will close the Tuxbrain's shop.

Ahora los envíos a la Península de menos de 1Kg costaran 6,69€ y hasta 5Kg 7.45€ (ambos iva inc.), en Cataluña algo mas barato (6,10€ y 6,88€) , los envíos se realizaran a través de Chrono Expres 24h. Os hemos escuchado y en breve implementaremos mejoras en la visualización de los gastos de envío en la tienda web para que aparezcan conforme rellenéis la cesta de la compra , sin necesidad de que se realice el registro completo, solo indicando el país y en caso necesario la provincia.

Un Geeki, un banquero y un inversor se encuentran en un bar y el Geeki le dice al inversor... ¿A que parece un chiste?, pues no, después de un año con el David de arriba para abajo, de charla en charla, y yo encadenado a los numerines y las presentaciones, Tuxbrain ha llegado a la fase final de la iniciativa Projecta't de la Generalitat de Catalunya para emprendedores. La verdad es que es mas explicativo y clarificador el Grup Projecta't en Linkedin

Para empezar deciros que el Projecta't se mandaron unas 2.000 solicituces de emprendedores y empresas , de los que tras un primer filtro pasaron unas 1000, un segundo filtro y continuamos unas 400, que despues de un montón de trabajo 30 teniamos opcion a participar a un foro de inversion, entre las cuales estaba Tuxbrain,

That's it we have done it! if you have followed the series of post "We will put wireless on NanoNote" (I) & (II) , you will be happy to know that we have finish to produce the first batch of atben/atusb boards to enable wireless communication between Ben NanoNote and whatever thing running Linux and having a USB host. In spite of there is work to be be done yet on the software stack The driver level code for 802.15.4 has been demo'd. A production test program is working which verifies that a board is not severly compromised. There are a small number of programs to send and receive data. However, there's still a lot to do in order to have a useable 6LoWpan stack but at least now we have hardware available to develop on it :)

Right, any of this has any sense, but who cares, we have a clear objective, enjoy this year knowing in advance we have one, our little stand on FOSDEM 2011, before we go to the photos(video on later post as usual) I want to thank all who have visit our stand to wave, both the new ones an those who repeat, thanks to FOSDEM organization, the make us feel like home, thanks to our friends of Hackable Devices to let us that valuable piece of table, boys and girls on Qi Hardware for crating such wonderful marvels that are NanoNote , Milkymist and the next ones to come, to developers of Jlime, to SDGSystems to let us the valuable and powerful Nomad and Yuma and show the world Linux can be secure inside and barely indestructible on outside, also to hundred of people that ask us if NanoNote has Wifi ,why it don't have, and when it will have it, I had miss the count around the 267 but also thank you to them too. Thanks to all followers, costumers, curious, developers, collaborators, family and friends to make us able be there one more time. Photos on inside the post.

Workshops on demand, talleres bajo demanda

As we have mentioned on a previous post(in spanish), we have adapted our site to handle workshops and courses on demand basis, and as result of this our website has been invaded by color penguins. What those little penguins means? Where the workshops will be done? when? are you sure this strange coloured baloons are penguins? Some answers will come further reading.
