SAKC, another step to Copyleft Hardware


SAKC = Swiss Army Knife Card
What is  SAKC?
SAKC is a development board for hardware and software hackers. SAKC has a MIPS processor running at 360MHz, also has an Spartan 3 FPGA. This combination enable many applications like robotics, automation, signal acquisition, and publicity applications. The software is based on Qi-hardware community development, right now there are some distributions available: Openwrt, Debian, Jlime.

Debian runs on the Ben NanoNote!

Thanks to our friends and great supporters at pyneo.org we can announce the availability of a Debian compatible kernel and two different Debian ubi rootfs files. One is a minimal Debian and the other additionally contains everything you need to compile on the Ben.

Finally, one of my obsesions since I have a NanoNote in my hands has become true :), Using Ben NanoNote to interact with an Arduino Board, following I descrive the steps I had done to achive it along with a  video clip with the demostration, spiced with a soundtrack of Nanowar of Steel, the event worth the effort  :P
